brayden and lori

I am a young woman in my thirties, love my hubby, have chosen the path of sobriety, want pets but not sure about kids just yet. I am an auntie to some pretty adorable and amazing kids from my family and friends. I surf from time to time. Someday we will own horses!

wedding party

We were married on August 9th, 2014 (above). It was lovely. I’ve since cut my hair really short.

In a nutshell, I work in higher education and live with my hubby, Brayden, and we have a roomie, Carrie, a good friend of ours. Life is simple.

Brayden describes our relationship as a “rock tied to a balloon”. I’m the fun, colorful, soaring balloon attuned to the wind’s ever-changing direction. He is the rock. My rock.

So on to the important question…………………

WHY do I write?

I have become more active in my journey to find my biological siblings and my birth mother. I am sharing my story as I move through this journey so that someday someone will be inspired to grow the courage to seek out the unknown.

Perhaps you will feel comforted that you are not the only one who’s experienced fear, sadness, loss, curiosity and various other forms of being human, missing humans.

I hope you enjoy the ride, and thanks for joining me.

Oh and Eddie Spaghetti from the Southern California Bulldog Rescue who starred as our ring bearer in our wedding thanks you too. He has since been adopted to a loving home thanks to this organization 🙂
